Cotherstone is a rural locality in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] At the 2021 census, Cotherstone had "no people or a very low population".[1]

Geography

The central and eastern parts of the locality are mountainous and undeveloped with Paddy Peak in the south-east of the locality (22°49′55″S 148°19′25″E / 22.8319°S 148.3236°E / -22.8319; 148.3236 (Paddy Peak)) at 459 metres (1,506 ft) above sea level.[3] The lower eastern part of the locality is used for crops and grazing on native vegetation.[4]

Education

There are no schools in Cotherstone. The nearest primary and secondary schools are Dysart State School and Dysart State High School in neighbouring Dysart to the north-east.[4]
