Web Map Service

Web Map Service (lyh. WMS) on rajapinta paikkatiedon muodostaman kartan lataamiseen kuvina tietoverkon yli. Kuva voi olla esimerkiksi muodossa kuin PNG, JPEG, GIF tai vektorigrafiikkana esimerkiksi SVG- tai WebCGM-formaateissa.

WMS:n on standardina julkaisseet sekä OGC ja ISO. OGC:n viimeisin julkaisema versio on 1.3.0^[1]
