George of the Jungle adalah sebuah film adaptasi aksi hidup Amerika 1997 dari kartun dengan nama yang sama. Film tersebut diproduksi oleh Walt Disney Pictures bersama dengan Mandeville Films dan aslinya dirilis di bioskop pada 16 Juli 1997. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Brendan Fraser sebagai karakter utama eponim, seorang pria primitif yang dibesarkan oleh hewan-hewan di hutan Afrika; Leslie Mann; dan Thomas Haden Church.

Sebuah sekuel direct-to-video, George of the Jungle 2, dirilis dalam bentuk DVD pada 2003, tetapi hanya tiga aktor dari film asli yang kembali pada sekuel tersebut.

Alur

Film tersebut dengan pengenalan animasi yang menampilkan sebuah pesawat jatuh di "Jantung Afrika" (lebih spesifiknya, sebuah wilayah yang disebut "Bukuvu"). Pesawat tersebut jatuh dan George, seorang bayi, hilang, tetapi bergelantungan di pohon. 25 tahun kemudian, George (Brendan Fraser) adalah seorang pria yang seperti Tarzan, "Raja Hutan". Teman-temannya meliptu gorila yang bisa berbicara yang bernama Ape (diisi suaranya oleh John Cleese), bersama dengan tukan toco bernama Tookie, seekor monyet capuchin kecil yang bernama Little Monkey, dan seekor gajah Afrika yang bernama Shep, yang ia sebut "anjing"nya (semua diisi suaranya oleh Frank Welker).

Aksi hidupnya dimulai ketika Ursula Stanhope (Leslie Mann) menjelajahi hutan dekat rumah George dengan dibantu oleh pemandunya, Mr. Kwame (Richard Roundtree) dan beberapa pribumi. Ia pergi ke Afrika sendirian, tetapi ia bergabung dengan Lyle Van De Groot (Thomas Haden Church) yang menemukannya dengan bantuan Max dan Thor (Greg Cruttwell dan Abraham Benrubi)
