Gresstre (Xanthorrhoea) er en særpreget slekt av australske planter. De regnes nå til en underfamilie under aloefamilien, men ble tidligere ofte regnet til en egen familie. De har lange, gresslignende blad i toppen av en opptil seks meter høy stamme. Blomstene sitter i et aks som skyter ut fra toppen.
