The Saint Strikes Back

 

The Saint in New York (sh. Svetac u New Yorku) je američki crno-bijeli kriminalistički film snimljen 1939. godine u režiji Johna Farrowa. Predstavlja drugi po redu film iz RKO-ve serije o Simonu Templaru, odnosno ekranizaciju romana She Was o Lady britanskog pisca Leslieja Charterisa. U njemu je, nakon prvog filma The Saint in New York naslovnu ulogu od Louisa Haywarda preuzeo George Sanders. Radnja prikazuje kako Simon Templar dolazi u San Francisco gdje postaje predmetom policijske istrage, ali i sam nastoji razotkriti slučaj korupcije zbog koga će se sresti sa bandom provalnika koju vodi kćer bivšeg policajca (čiji lik tumači Wendy Barrie). Barrie će se pojaviti u još nekoliko filmova iz serije, mada uvijek u različitim ulogama.
