Tashan District (Persian: بخش تشان) is in Behbahan County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Tashan.[3][a]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 13,829 in 2,855 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 13,312 people in 3,254 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 12,009 inhabitants in 3,331 households,[2] by which time the village of Mashhad had merged with several villages to become the city of Tashan.[4]
